It's a license based cash grab aimed at kids with gameplay consisting of making you wait/pay for progression. I seriously hope you didn't have any hint of expectations when you decided to actually give it a try. As far as waifus go, Merula so far is written to be the game's Draco, except even more pathetic. If you play as a witch you get a female version of Pahjeet as your best friend who is pretty much a cross between Ron and Hermione (they even have him go "It's LeviOsa, not LevioSA." as a throwback joke). Then there's also Sta- Penny, but I haven't played that far yet.

my old laptop was a thinkpad x200t with only a core 2 duo from a thousand years ago backend is in clojure now, which runs on the jvm and needs to be compiled before opening a repl compilation would take minutes and make things basically unusable until finished, and even just running the jvm would make things a bit laggy

Yeah I had Comcast for a year. Well it was Spectrum but I think it&#39;s owned by Comcast. Wasn&#39;t bad, I couldn&#39;t complain. Then again I wasn&#39;t in an area where I think things would be too too congested.
