i have a lot of things i trashed the old home server i used to have though, was way too expensive to run and the performance was shit by modern standards my raspi 4 could probably outperform it i pretty much just want a standalone NAS so i can shove a bunch of expensive hard drives in it and then never need to worry about storage again and be able to play stuff on TV without needing desktop on

old home server was a ~20 year old full tower workstation with a completely metal case and like a wind tunnel fan system that was loud all the time pretty sure it was 60 pounds or so too
